Works emerging from observation, process, and the quiet persistence of nature.
Two practices, one conversation.
My painting and sculptural work are intertwined. both stem from a connection to place and explore the relationship between the human and natural worlds. Paintings capture air and movement and sculptures hold what endures. Together, they form a dialogue of change and continuity.
I work slowly, building surface and form through many layers. thin glazes of oil, burnished clay, Found Objects gathered and recomposed. Each work carries its own history of handling and attention.
uniting decades of practice is a thread of observation, experimentation, and a reflection on our relationship with the natural world. my works trace what endures and what changes, reminding us that time and process are inseparable.
Visit The Studio
My studio sits in bushland on Wadandi Boodja in the South West of Western Australia. The landscape around it is central to my work. Each spring, I open the studio for Margaret River Region Open Studios. Visits are also welcome year-round by appointment on request.
